Week in Review: I have been working at Fairview Elementary in Anchorage, Alaska for a few days in a row now, and I am going to be there for another two weeks. I bought a 30 day bus pass, I’m starting to get to know the staff, and am getting into some good habits. Tomorrow is weigh day, something that I have been doing for years, religiously since 2013. I have lost some weight, and am very close to a mini goal. But I can’t remember what I was going to do once I reached the goal. So I’m going to just have to think of something new, and keep going.
It’s been a good time in Alaska. I am working more than I thought, which is good because I am getting a lot of experience and earning decent money so I can keep living up here and can maybe start saving money for the future, looking to the future. I have been thinking about exactly what I will be doing in six months, a year, or in five years. Right now I am focusing on my work, which is good. My health feels like a side gig right now, if that’s the right words. As is this blog, unfortunately. I have to do better at this. But I am not going to beat myself up. I am making progress, and slow progress is better than no progress.
