It’s time for me to get into habit of posting. Logging in tonight I see I haven’t posted since last Tuesday.
Nothing to do but move on and make a post. It is late Monday night, just after 10 o’clock, and I am dedicated to make a post today. I was going to read instead, but I think I can get a chapter in. These Truths by Jill Lepore is my most recent buy from Barnes and Noble, as well as a few others books. But hers was the reason that I went to the bookstore. I always leave with more books than I plan on buying. Just two more this time.
I didn’t work today. Lately I have been working at Fairview Elementary School here in Anchorage. That has been taking up a lot of my time. I am waking up around six tomorrow so I can make a breakfast and get ready for my day.
Today wouldn’t have happened without our service members, our veterans. Thank you veterans for your service. That includes my grandpa, great-uncle, uncle. My thanks go far past that.
These Truths is American history. It has already hit a cord, as it should in the introduction ensuring I’ll keep reading. Without years and years of men and women serving in the military I wouldn’t have the freedom I do today.
This week I am going back to work at Fairview. My afternoon hours must be productive. They will have to be if I intend to keep this blog alive. I intend to have it thrive.
